About this role

Ideal candidate is detail oriented, self-motivated, and patient focused with attention to quality and precision. You will provide a safe and efficient environment for all patients in our Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) during the perioperative phases in order to promote patient-confidence in their medical care and make the surgical experience as smooth as possible. You will successfully perform the following

responsibilities

Starts IVs, gives medications, and prepares drugs and solutions per physician protocols. Oversee surgery schedules. Maintains accurate and complete records of patients’ surgical experience.

Prepare chart for surgery. Confirm IOL selection by surgeon. Obtains patient history through interviews and evaluations, noting data in chart and sharing pertinent information with physician.

Evaluates, observes, and treats patients under local anesthesia. Prepares for and manages immediate postoperative care, communicating patient needs, and providing patient and family training. What do we look for?

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York. ACLS and BLS certified Ophthalmology experience preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with physicians/staff/patients.

Mobility for walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stretching. Familiarity with the use of clinic-based electronic medical records. Familiarity with the basics of the ICD-10 coding system.

Ability to document accurately. Verbal and written skills necessary for a medical clinic.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
