*Title: *RN Wound Care *Location: *Tacoma, WA, 98405 *Shift: *Days * Schedule: *4x10 *Contract: *13 Weeks *PAY RANGE: $2,700.00 - $2,750.00 / Weekly* *Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Wound Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and a strong background in managing complex wound treatment plans. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert wound management, educating patients and staff, and ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes across diverse care settings, including acute, long-term, and community-based environments. *Duties* * Assess patients’ wounds through detailed examinations, including evaluating size, depth, exudate, and signs of infection. * Develop individualized wound care plans utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced techniques such as debridement, dressings, and skin grafts when appropriate. * Administer specialized treatments including Botulinum toxin injections for specific wound-related conditions and other advanced therapies. * Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on wound prevention strategies, proper dressing techniques, and ongoing care requirements. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans that address underlying health conditions such as diabetes or vascular disease. * Maintain meticulous documentation of wound assessments, treatments administered, and patient progress within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. * Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures to promote healing and prevent complications. *Experience* * Proven clinical experience in wound management within hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized wound clinics. * Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health records systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. * Experience working with diverse patient populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or those requiring hospice & palliative medicine services. * Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities such as IV infusion therapy, catheterization procedures, and sterile dressing changes. * Background in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable. * Knowledge of medical coding systems including ICD-10/ICD-9 for accurate documentation and billing purposes. * Prior experience in long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities is advantageous.
