Summary
Mount Pleasant of Sinai Hospital is a 24-bed inpatient behavioral health unit. This is a short-term crisis unit with an average length of stay under 7 days. Goals of treatment are to stabilize the patient to the next level of care. Upon discharge, patient have a full after-care plan. We work as an interdisciplinary collaborative team to find the best treatment for the patient including therapies such as groups and medications. This is a fast-paced high acuity unit that requires a calm, empathetic presence for a therapeutic environment.
Requirements
Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing. At least 1 year of Inpatient Psych experience required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse, registered to practice in Maryland. American Heart Association BLS Certification.
