Available Shifts: 3-12-hours, 6 AM - 6 PM, 6 PM - 6 AM, 10 AM - 10 PM, additional

Oak Plains Academy, located Ashland City, TN is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. Job Duties and
Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to, the following)
- Renders professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs. Practices ongoing patient assessment, evaluation and update of patient care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed. Administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy. Participates in formulation of individual care plans for all patients and implements plan according to facility policy.
- Performs proper HWC techniques, demonstrating knowledge of patient and staff safety. Completes debriefings as indicated.
- Serves as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensed (or license eligible) in the State of Tennessee.
- Preferred experience with children/adolescents
- Preferred experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
- 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Must attend the two-week orientation classes, Monday through Friday.
