Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides care for patients requiring MRI procedures. Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing MRI for diagnostic procedures. Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.

Assistswith inventory management and patient scheduling. Takes backup call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage. All employees of North Florida Hospital will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.

What qualifications you will need

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program. Completion of MRI Training
  • 6 months of related experience is required
