Summary

*

Provides direct patient care to young adult through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

  • Willing to train new RN graduates
  • Current or soon to be RN licensure in the state of Florida
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification

*Essential Job functions:*

  • Providing assistance with cardiac stress testing.
  • Responsible for admitting, recovering, discharging of patients, and provides follow-up
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other healthcare team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures
  • Identify physical symptoms and changes and take appropriate action in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to assess cardiorespiratory systems for changes and treat appropriately
  • Demonstrates knowledge of anesthetic drugs, actions and side effects
  • Ensure preop checklist is complete before patient is taken into procedure room
  • Start IV's; monitors IV fluids and patency of IVs
  • Document patient data during the procedure
  • Move and transport patients safely

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
