American Traveler is hiring a Cardiology/PCU RN for a night shift position at a Level III trauma center, requiring 1-2 years of IMC or Cardiology experience.

Details

  • Level III trauma center hospital setting on the Cardiology/IMC (Intermediate Care) unit
  • 24-bed unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Patient ratios of 1 RN to 3 IMC patients with active titrating drips, 1 RN to 4-5 IMC patients, and 1 RN to 5-6 Med/Surg patients depending on shift
  • Uses standard cardiology monitoring equipment including telemetry and T-1 monitors, IV pumps, and crash carts
  • Cerner EHR system used
  • Floating required to units of need, typically PCU, Medical, Surgical, or Nephrology
  • No call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM or compact) required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be from American Heart Association)
  • TNCC certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years of IMC or Cardiology experience preferred
