About this role

RAMC is looking for a RN to join the Cardiac Rehab team!

Monday - Friday 6:45-4:30 times vary

What you'll do

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation provides compassionate, patient-centered care while guiding patients through their recovery and wellness journey. Responsibilities include developing individualized exercise plans, educating patients on heart and lung health, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices, supervising exercise sessions, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Education and Training Required

Current licensure as an RN in the state of Wisconsin.

BLS Certification required.

ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Education in exercise and Cardiac/Respiratory background preferred

Physical

Requirements

Occasionally sit while performing the tasks of the role (scheduling, developing & reviewing protocols/procedures, job descriptions, etc.).

Occasionally carry objects weighing less than 10 pounds.

Frequently walk and stand.

Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds while transferring and positioning patients and maneuvering equipment.

Frequently bend to the floor, squat, kneel, crouch and reach overhead to assists with patient care or retrieve equipment and/or supplies.

Frequently handle objects, smell, feel, control knobs, switches and levers.

Sight

Occasionally use sight capacities, including spatial, peripheral, colors and accommodation and depth perception.

Frequently use near and far vision while reviewing patient records, computer screens, charts, gauges on patient equipment, monitors, etc.

Cognition/Communication

Frequently utilizes simple reading skills, and normal conversations.

Frequently and effectively communicate with physicians, patients, family members, staff, other departments, and vendors using hearing and written skills.

Occasional exposure to comprehensive speech, both simple and complex writing skills, basic and complex math.

Frequently is exposed to low volume speech with patients and telephone conversations with other members of the healthcare team, physicians and family members.
