Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for oncology patients in a fast-paced treatment setting, including assessment, monitoring, and symptom management
- Administer prescribed therapies and medications, monitor responses and adverse events, and manage IV therapy as ordered
- Support radiation oncology workflow and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatments, imaging, and supportive care
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, safety measures, and self-care strategies
- Document care and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and care teams to maintain continuity of care and patient comfort
Requirements
Education
RN with current Colorado license in good standing
- Active Colorado RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Oncology experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced oncology setting and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
- Willingness to work 10-hour shifts on weekdays and adhere to assignment requirements
- Travel eligibility: must meet radius rule (permanent address at least 75 miles away from the assignment site)
