Registered Nurse ICU CVU NIGHTS

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, airway management, and dialysis.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Meditech, Epic and Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient record management.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including triage and acute pain management.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures and manage ventilator-dependent patients.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the ICU.

*Qualifications*

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU/CVU experience preferred; critical care transport experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience with various EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of acute care principles, trauma medicine, hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
