Salary: $38.60 - $55.16 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role

Deliver personalized, evidence-based lactation care to help mothers and infants meet their individual feeding goals from birth through discharge.

Empower patients and families by demonstrating proper techniques and educating them on the lifelong health benefits of breastfeeding.

Serve as the clinical lactation expert and mentor for staff nurses and physicians to elevate the overall standard of infant care across the unit.

Design standardized patient teaching plans that ensure consistent, high-quality educational resources for every growing family.

Drive clinical improvement initiatives by tracking feeding outcomes and refining care protocols based on real-time data.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date requiried.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in The S. T. A. B. L. E Program preferred.
  • Certification specializing in Lactation credentialed from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) preferred.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
