Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

• Shift: Rotating 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Location: Watertown, NY (hospital OR setting)

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with instrumentation, and help position patients safely.
• Monitor intraoperative patient status, including vital signs, and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and circulating nurses to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Document perioperative data, manage equipment and supplies, and uphold aseptic practices.
• May assume duties as a charge nurse when assigned and participate in unit leadership activities.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license (active)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• 2+ years operating room nursing experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• If not recently OR-experienced, completion and successful passing of the peri-operative 101 Education Program is mandatory before employment
• On-call with a 30-minute response time
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
