We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership for our skilled nursing facility and serve as the RN oversight for our assisted living community. In this critical leadership role, you will work closely with the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) as a strategic partner to manage campus operations, drive clinical quality, and maintain fiscal health. While our assisted living unit is managed day-to-day by a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide the essential RN consultation, compliance monitoring, and high-level clinical guidance required to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.

Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Partnership: Collaborate daily with the Nursing Home Administrator to align clinical services with operational goals, safety standards, and financial budgets.
- Skilled Nursing Leadership: Direct, plan, and coordinate all clinical activities and nursing staff within the 5-star nursing home.
- Assisted Living RN Oversight: Provide required RN oversight, clinical consultation, and high-level supervision to the LPN managing the assisted living facility.
- Maintain Excellence: Sustain our 5-star nursing home rating and ensure top-tier clinical compliance across both care settings.
- Ensure Compliance: Lead the facility alongside the Administrator during state survey processes to maintain our excellent survey results.
- Collaborative Leadership: Partner with the Assisted Living LPN Manager to review complex resident cases, incident reports, and care plans.
- Champion Quality: Co-lead comprehensive quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs across the campus with the administrative team.
- Cultivate Culture: Foster a unified, positive workplace environment aligned with our Great Place to Work status.
Qualifications
- License: Active, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
Education
BSN preferred; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a DON or Assistant DON in a skilled nursing facility.
- Leadership Style: Proven success operating in a tight-knit leadership duo with a Nursing Home Administrator.

Skills
Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and collaborate with LPN managers and charge nurses.
