As a Provider you will play an integral role in our outpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. At Pima Pain Center we are dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a patients pain. We are focused on listening to our patients' concerns, understanding their needs and providing the best care of each individual patient. Provide pain care (chronic pain) for adult patients in an outpatient clinical setting. The Nurse Practitioner will demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with pain.. *Daily Responsibility:* * Evaluate and manage patients referred for Chronic Pain and Outpatient Pain Services. Pain Service providers provide consultations and the development of a comprehensive pain management plan for patients with complex pain and is actively involved in perioperative analgesia for adult patients. * Shows compassion and respect for patient care * Work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary health team and function with a high degree of autonomy. * Work with a team consisting of a group of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. * Performs periodic medical history, physical examinations, and assessments. Records findings of examinations, assessments and develops plan of care. * Time management skills * Performs a wide range of minor pain and/or medical procedures. * Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications. * Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations. * Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner * Acts as a patient advocate for the population served. * Attends, participates and contributes in group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures as necessary. _Pima Pain Center is an equal opportunity employer and we believe in strength through diversity.
