We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and patients with chronic conditions.

  • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including the use of Hoyer lifts and other equipment.

  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
  • Document patient care activities accurately using EMR or EHR systems.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Long-term care experience, including assisted living or nursing home settings.
  • Hospital experience, particularly in critical care, ICU, or emergency medicine.
  • Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care.
  • Phlebotomy skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, or home care settings.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation practices and understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
