Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Schedule

3x12-hour day shifts with weekend rotation

• Start date: 05/11/2026
• Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Med/Surg unit

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, and timely documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and document outcomes.
• Monitor patient status, vitals, I&O, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement plan of care; participate in rounds and care conferences.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control practices; assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; maintain accurate and complete charts.

Requirements

• Current, active RN license in California (or eligibility for CA licensure)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred/optional for the first contract but must be attained by traveler if extending
• Med Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (diploma/ADN/BSN)
• Ability to work day shifts (3x12-hour schedule) with weekend rotation
