As a Pacific Northwest Field Clinical Educator for the gMG, CIDP, and future indications across the regional community, you will play a pivotal role in providing education to key external stakeholders. You will lead and implement clinical education strategies and provide disease and product education to community and academic institutions, hospitals, extended care health providers (Advanced Practice, nurses, pharmacists, infusion staff) and patients.

Provide disease and branded education to the extended care team, SOC infusion staff and patients/caregivers to ensure that staff and patient understand treatment expectations and support through the patient journey from onboarding through adherence.

This market will include the following states: Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and a portion of Montana.

Roles and Responsibilities

HCP Education

Work with both internal and external stakeholders to better understand the current opportunities. Develop strategy and plan to provide clinical education to identified population.

Apply Field Clinical Educator role-specific clinical knowledge in discussion of product and disease state content, terminology, and concepts with advanced practice clinicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care providers. (e.g., infusion support staff) Educate Health Care Provider (HCP) extended care team and other health care providers on adverse event (AE) profiles and appropriate patient management to support the safe and effective use of treatment, consistent with labelling.

Present on disease state and product at various advanced practice / nurse education events to ensure programming of the specific needs move forward. Any specific treatment questions from nurses and other health care providers regarding adverse events.

Independently develop practical, high-quality, and creative learning and development solutions to meet individual accounts’ needs.

Patient Education (only post-Rx and with necessary consent)

Work collaboratively and compliantly with health care providers and other internal cross functional teams to deliver a positive educational experience for patients.

Educate patients on disease state, treatment journey, all formulation therapy, including preparation and expectations.

Educate patients on appropriate tools for disease management and adherence as well as answering any targeted questions from patients. (e.g setting expectations, adverse effects, expected outcomes) using approved resources.

Support local patient educational programs by compliantly coordinating with other internal customer-facing teams (e.g., patient advocacy group meetings).

Customer Knowledge & Insights

Demonstrate deep insights into the informational needs of nurses and other health care providers including various segments of nurses and other health care providers and environments (e.g. Community, Academic Institutions, Infusion Centers and local chapters).

Demonstrate deep insights into key challenges for patients and available patient education and support interventions Customer Focus & Engagement.

Build credibility and trust during customer interactions by understanding their operational practices, decision-making processes, standards of care, priorities, and potential changes in needs.

Account Planning & Execution

Develop meaningful account education engagement plans with clear objectives, actions, responsibilities, timelines, and allocation of resources. Develop and implement a routing plan to enhance time and impact in the field.

Demonstrate written and oral communication skills that support cross functional collaboration and coordination of customers’ needs.

Teamwork & Collaboration

Demonstrate commitment to the key account management process by sharing perspectives, link customer insights and recommending strategies to integrate perspectives across nurse education solutions. Contribute and engage with cross-functional team and communities in a highly integrated way.

Skills and Competencies

Adverse events & patient management expertise. Adopts and maintains a patient-centric approach that supports customers’ educational needs as they relate to patient and adverse event management strategies.

Experienced and Effective educational presenter and discussion facilitator. Able to present to various audiences, including Registered Nurses, Pharmacy Staff and Advanced Practitioners and on all aspects of disease state and product information.

Apply extensive knowledge and understanding of customer educational needs and priorities. Deep understanding of available patient education and support interventions.

Engages customers by aligning approach based on customer interests and company strategy and goals.

Develops collaborative relationships internally to work toward a common goal and tackle complex patient journey challenges.

Ability to work independently with discretion and good judgment without regular direct supervision.

Excellent presentation and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Power Point.

Education, Experience and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science, Nursing Degree, Advanced clinical degree from an Accredited Institution

5+ Years Advanced practice/Nursing Experience

3+ Years Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry Experience

This is a field based position and you must live within the geography you support and be able to travel approximately 80% of the time including nights/weekends based on customer/patient needs.
