Details Inpatient behavioral health hospital setting with 104 beds across five units Patient population includes adults, geriatric patients, and pediatric patients ages 5–17 2 adult units (24 beds each), 1 geriatric unit (24 beds), and 1 pediatric unit (12 beds) Patient ratios are 1:8 and variable; geriatric and pediatric units maintain lower ratios Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend required Floating required No on-call responsibilities No block scheduling EMR: Cerner Blue scrubs required Requirements Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required Current BLS certification (AHA) required ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required Must be willing and able to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required Social Security number required for consideration Date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of psychiatric patients through the nursing process Develops individualized nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff Communicates significant changes in patient condition to physicians, supervisors, and care team members Participates in discharge planning Supervised by shift supervisors only Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates who are employed full time elsewhere are not eligible
