Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Jul 20, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with Level III experience and high frequency ventilation skills for a night shift travel contract in New Jersey.

Details Work in a Level III NICU within a hospital system Patient population includes micro preemies and high-acuity neonates requiring high frequency ventilation Patient ratio of 1:2 Unit practices couplet care with a Stork RN present on each shift Night shift

3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend (EOW) required No on-call responsibilities Floating required within skillset across up to 5 hospital locations in the system Block scheduling is not allowed Epic EMR experience preferred 13-week contract Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2–3 years of NICU experience required Level III NICU experience required Experience with micro preemies and high frequency ventilation required COVID-19 vaccination required — no exemptions Flu vaccination required — no exemptions Two current professional references required for consideration Additional Information Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced local pay rate One winter holiday and one summer holiday coverage required Navy blue scrubs required First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application — requests submitted after will not be accepted
