Registered Nurse Tier 1 OR

The Registered Nurse requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. The RN must collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members and students. Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, formulating plan of care, administering medication and intravenous therapy, supervising and delegating to other personnel, mentoring students, participating in discharge planning, and serving as a patient advocate.

The position involves OR/surgical nursing duties including preparing for surgical cases, monitoring operative procedures, functioning as a circulating nurse, and maintaining a safe surgical environment. Qualifications include Associate's Degree in Nursing (required), Bachelor's Degree (preferred), up to 1 year experience (preferred), RN license (required), Basic Life Support Certification (required), ACLS (required), PALS (required), and De-Escalation Training within 6 months of hire (required).
