The Registered Nurse leads the healthcare team by establishing personalized relationships with patients and their support systems, collaborating with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote health or support a peaceful death. They utilize evidence-based practices and compassion to guide patients through their health journeys, taking responsibility, authority, and accountability for care management in line with current policies and procedures. Qualifications include a current RN license in the appropriate state, a graduate of an accredited nursing school, and preferably at least one year of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. For inactive licenses, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required for reinstatement. Key responsibilities involve delivering exceptional patient experiences, fostering teamwork, engaging with the community, and promoting a safe environment rooted in the principle of ‘First Do No Harm’.
