About this role
The Nursing Department has openings for Part-Time RN Lab Tutors to support student learning and skills practice within the nursing laboratories and simulation environment. Reporting directly to the Simulation Lab Manager and/or Program Director, the RN Lab Tutor assists students with the use of nursing skills equipment and supplies and provides support for class labs and during open laboratory sessions. The RN Lab Tutor assists students in practicing clinical skills and procedures previously taught in lecture, provides guidance on the use of lab equipment and supplies, and utilizes instructor-provided skills checklists to support student learning. This is a non-instructional role; the RN Lab Tutor is prohibited from providing formal classroom or clinical instruction, assigning grades, evaluating student performance, or independently teaching new content.
Requirements
Current unrestricted Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) License
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Master's Degree in Nursing
Basic computer skills
Ability to travel between CSN campuses as needed
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and maneuver laboratory equipment
Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
