The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant provides specialized nursing services in women's health care, family planning, and abortion procedures. They deliver patient care using the medical model to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes related to family planning and surgical needs, including abortion services. Services include:
- Administration of medication abortion up to ten weeks
- Ultrasounds
- Birth control counseling
- Annual exams and pap smears
- IUC placements
- Nexplanon placements
- Infection checks and treatment
- LEEPs and biopsies
- And more
Educational Requirements
- Valid and current California license
- Current Furnishing license (Nurse Practitioner's)
- Current ACLS certification required
- Nexplanon certification required
Other Requirements
- Some experience in women's health care is preferred, but not required
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing the highest level of care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and task accuracy
