FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours:40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: Pre-operative/Post-operative RN for Busy Ambulatory Surgery Center. Varied start times typically between 0545 and 0830. No call, no weekends, no holidays. Typically, 4 - 5 days a week, but 64 hours would be allocated on a 2-week period. We have 3 “shifts” Opener, Mid and Late (we also have a backup late). This individual would rotate through these shifts. - Early typically comes in at 0545. - Mid can be flexed from opening to closing shift based on surgery schedules (0545-0830 typically but we try to keep it closer to 0700). - Late typically come in 0800 or 0830 again depending on surgery schedules they may need to be flexed in earlier or later. Provides direct and indirect nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, determining the objectives of nursing care within the framework of the physician's plan of medical care, the patient's needs, standards of nursing practice, legal regulations and ambulatory surgery center policies and procedures. He/she will perform other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality of performance. Other information: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: A minimum of 1 year in Med/Surg, ambulatory surgery, PACU, or OR nursing is preferred. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. EDUCATION PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. TRAINING REQUIRED: None. TRAINING PREFERRED: None. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: None. SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED: None. LICENSURE REQUIRED: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire. LICENSURE PREFERRED: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
