Kirby Bates Associates, a national healthcare leadership search firm, is seeking an experienced Interim Nurse Manager to lead the Maternal Child Health unit at a community hospital in Northern California. This is a 6-week engagement with the possibility of extension.
The Interim Nurse Manager will be responsible for
- Ensuring safe, effective staffing and scheduling for the unit
- Leading monthly staff meetings to support team communication and engagement
- Driving performance improvement related to nursing care and attendance, including coaching and progressive discipline
- Fostering physician engagement, including welcoming and onboarding new physicians
- Improving HCAHPS scores, with particular focus on Nurse Communication and Discharge Information domains
Requirements
- RN License (California is not a compact state).
- Previous Labor and Delivery leadership experience.
- Union Experience required.
Our leaders receive an attractive compensation package including housing, transportation, and regular travel home.
The pay rate for this position is $800 - $850 per day ($208,000 – $221,000 annually). The final pay rate is determined by experience, expertise, and education.
