A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Albany, NY area is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations.

Duties

Supervise and support all nursing staff within the facility

Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures

Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff

Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ongoing staff competency

Monitor nursing staff performance and conduct

Maintain awareness of all clinical incidents and ensure proper follow-up

Assess and support the health needs of all residents

Requirements

Current New York State RN license required

Must have prior DON experience in Long-term care to be considered

Minimum of 4 years of experience in long-term care

At least 3 years of supervisory experience

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
