How you’ll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

What we’re looking for
Applicants must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing
Should have a current VA RN license or compact state
Bachelors preferred but not required
Previous experience highly preferred
Additional requirements include
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
