About this role
Registered Nurse, temporary on site contract at the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center, 1500 University Ave W, Minot, ND. October 1 to November 30, 2026, with a possible extension. Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, up to 40 hours a week. No nights, no weekends, no holidays.
Pay: $45 to $50 per hour depending on experience. 1099 independent contractor, paid every two weeks on center approved timesheets, tied to client payment.
The role
The Job Corps center trains about 197 young adults aged 16 to 24. You will cover the center's wellness clinic while the permanent RN is out, working with the Health and Wellness Manager and supervising one LPN. Day to day: medication management and controlled substance counts, ordering stock medication and vaccines, maintaining medical records to DOL and corporate standards, assisting with CIS reports, and being the steady clinical presence for trainees who are often new to the health system.

You must have
- Unrestricted RN license valid in North Dakota (ND license or multistate compact license from another compact state)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- At least one year of experience providing care to adolescents or young adults (school nurse, pediatric or adolescent clinic, residential youth program, camp, juvenile services, or similar)
- Ability to pass a background check and be approved by the center and the DOL Regional Office of Job Corps
- Availability for all weekdays October 1 to November 30, 2026
Nice to have: school nurse or residential program experience, LPN supervision, experience with federal program documentation.
