Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and state and federal regulations. Working alongside Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, the LPN plays a vital role in promoting resident comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the Registered Nurse or physician
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
Provide resident and family education as appropriate
Follow infection prevention and infection control policies and procedures
Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
Maintain a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment
Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
Qualifications
Current Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
Current BLS/CPR Certification
Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred
Strong clinical and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care
