United Hospice & Palliative Care of Arizona. Job Title/Position: Home Hospice Aide. Reports To: Patient Care Manager.

The Home Hospice Aide is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The Home Hospice Aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting the observations and documenting the observations as well as the care performed. Essential job functions include performing personal care needs, providing positive communication techniques, meeting patient needs by using equipment safely, giving personal care including baths/showers, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos/conditioners, and changing bed linen, and assisting in dressing/undressing.
