SUMMARY:
This position provides professional nursing care; assists the physician with patient care. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care rendered to patients with routine, urgent or potential health problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure patient safety, assists physicians and ensure maximum efficiency, set up for procedures and examinations, obtain lab test and other reports for physician review, triage patients, prepare patients for exams and procedures, administer medications, ensure patient chart entries are made accurately, contact pharmacy to order or refill prescriptions, tracking of diagnostic studies, obtain pre-certifications and referrals, maintain adequate stock levels, set up and stock exam rooms, follow infection control policies, obtain vital signs, administer IM/SQ/intradermal injections, administer O2, cardiac monitoring and lead placement, adhere to Quality Control Guidelines and Customer Service Standards, knowledge of sterile techniques. SECONDARY
DUTIES:
Record health history, collect and label lab specimens, complete charts and charge tickets, knowledge of IV solutions, wound care and suturing, schedule patients, occupational medicine procedures, discharge instructions, consent forms, surgical instrument sterilization, phototherapy protocol.
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited LPN program; 0-2 years experience in clinic-based nursing. CERTIFICATES: Valid state LPN license; CPR certification.

- CPR certification
- BLS Certification
- Working with pediatric populations
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours a day
- Must be able to lift at least 10-15 lbs
