About this role
Assists in organizing and administering the department of nursing while providing quality nursing care and assumes responsibilities delegated by the Director of Nursing. Supervises nursing staff assignments and scheduling, provides nursing care on shift when needed, assists with medical staff, implements policies and procedures, validates MDS and Care Plans, conducts in-service and orientation programs, reviews physician orders, participates in on-call rotation, and oversees special focus areas such as wound care, infection prevention, restorative, and assisted living.
