Role Description The School Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based within Dayton Public School District in the Dayton Metropolitan Area.
This position provides direct student health services, including assessment, first aid, chronic disease management, medication administration, and emergency response during the school day. The School Nurse collaborates with educators, families, and community providers to support student wellness, health education, and accommodations for health-related needs. Daily responsibilities include maintaining health records, monitoring immunization compliance, implementing individualized health plans, and promoting a safe and healthy school environment.
The role also involves participating in multidisciplinary teams, assisting with health screenings, and contributing to district-wide health policies and procedures.
