The Infection Prevention Level I Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the MultiCare Health System Infection Prevention Program. This position is required to develop, analyze, and interpret a variety of information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates, requiring independent decision-making and analytical problem solving. The role supports daily surveillance, analysis of infection trends, staff education, and regulatory compliance. The IP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and prevent transmission of infectious agents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice nursing in the State of Washington
  • 3-5 years and current clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting
  • 2 years of Experience in Infection Prevention and Control preferred
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or attainment of certification within 3 years of hire
