Summary
The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
12 South is a 30 bed unit in the Acute Care Department. We specialize in burn care while also housing post-surgical patients from a variety of specialties including, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Ear Nose and Throat, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Gynecology.12 South is a wonderful place to learn and grow. We have a strong culture of using a team-based approach to provide compassionate care for our patients.
Nurses can go through additional advanced training to work in our burn procedural room. With this training, nurses will work one-on-one with patients to complete dressing changes and deliver specialized burn treatments. Nurses who work on this unit will be trained to complete complex interventions to care for highly acute patients.
