Details Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit providing comprehensive obstetric care for patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, an OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU Facility recently expanded with five new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Rotating holidays and weekends required Block scheduling is not available Longer assignment through January 9, 2027 is available but not required Uses Meditech charting system Requirements Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience required OB Triage experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted (C-EFM must be obtained if contract extensions meet or exceed 1 year from initial start date) BLS and NRP certifications required ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections Experience circulating for C-section procedures preferred Additional Information Located in Frederick, Maryland, a historic city about one hour from Baltimore and Washington, D. C., offering scenic mountain views and a vibrant downtown Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays Facility is smoke-free No radius rule applies for this facility, and rates are the same for local travelers RTO requests are reviewed and approved on a per-case basis Pre-start modules must be completed no later than one week prior to start date
