Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality educational instruction to students enrolled in the CNA program. The instructor will teach fundamental nursing assistant skills, ensure students meet clinical requirements, and prepare them for certification. This position requires a blend of instructional expertise, clinical experience, and a commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment for students.

*Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:*
Teach classroom and clinical portions of the CNA program, including topics such as patient care, safety, communication, infection control, and basic nursing techniques.
Develop, update, and review course materials, lesson plans, and instructional strategies to align with state and federal regulations and industry standards.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and assessments.
Participating in development and evaluation of Program.
*Student Support & Assessment:*
Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and offer academic support to ensure students meet learning objectives.
Evaluate students’ clinical skills and knowledge through both written and practical exams.
Ensure students demonstrate competency in the skills necessary to perform safely and effectively as Certified Nursing Assistants.
Supervising classroom lab experiences.
Providing supervision and clinical evaluation of each student at clinical training site.
*Compliance & Documentation:*
Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and completion of required clinical hours.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards for nursing assistant training programs and certification.
Participate in ongoing program evaluation and improvement, incorporating feedback from students and peers.
*Professional Development & Collaboration:*
Stay up to date with the latest developments in nursing assistant training, healthcare regulations, and best practices.
Collaborate with other instructors, clinical staff, and administrators to improve program quality and meet institutional goals.
Attend required professional development and training opportunities.

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience.
Experience in teaching or training adults in healthcare settings is preferred.
1 year of Long-Term Care experience

*Requirements *
Proven experience in classroom teaching or clinical instruction within healthcare or adult education settings.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and adult learning principles.
Familiarity with educational technology integration, including online instruction platforms and computers used for teaching purposes.
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds in both classroom and remote environments.
Understanding of educational compliance standards, regulations governing healthcare training programs, and accreditation processes.
Excellent communication skills combined with classroom management expertise to foster an engaging learning environment.
Prior university or higher education teaching experience is preferred but not required; relevant classroom experience is essential.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current licensure in good standing.
