- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices and patient needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, recognizing signs of deterioration or improvement for timely intervention.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document care activities comprehensively.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment strategies.
- Provide patient education on health management, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice.
*Requirements*
- Valid RN license in the state of practice with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Point-Click-Care for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, medication administration protocols, and infection control procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, behavioral health, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills combined with critical thinking abilities to prioritize patient needs efficiently.
