Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based in Queens, NY. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and treatment interventions in accordance with established protocols and regulations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient status, documenting care, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and educating patients and families on treatment plans and health management. The role also involves participating in quality improvement initiatives, maintaining infection control and safety standards, and supporting a respectful, inclusive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York and completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred).
Proficiency in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and care planning, with strong skills in monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing nursing procedures.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate, timely documentation, follow regulatory and facility policies, and uphold infection control and safety standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, providing patient and family education, and supporting diverse populations with empathy and respect.
Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple patients and tasks, adapt to changing clinical needs, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) or other clinical documentation systems.
CPR/BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, specialty nursing certifications) are a plus.
Previous experience in hospital, long-term care, or community health settings preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates with strong clinical foundations.
