Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)Nocturnist – Inpatient Internal Medicine
*Northeast Indiana & Ohio | Full-Time | 7 On / 7 Off. Selected candidates will need to obtain dual licensure in Ohio and Indiana. *
We are a well-established private practice Internal Medicine hospitalist group seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our inpatient nocturnist team.
This role is ideal for a confident provider who values clinical autonomy, acute care decision-making, and schedule flexibility.

*Position Overview*
- Full-time nocturnist role
- 12-hour shift structure
- 7 on / 7 off rotation
- Coverage across two community hospital locations
- *In-person coverage from 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM,* followed by split between locations, followed by overnight remote coverage (12:00 AM – 6:00 AM) dedicated to documentation, call coverage, and urgent patient care needs.
*Responsibilities*
- Perform after-hours admissions during peak evening hours
- Provide overnight cross-coverage for admitted patients
- Respond to acute clinical issues as they arise
- Conduct assessments, order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Develop and implement management plans, including prescribing
- Provide thorough handoff to the day hospitalist team
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
- Escalate complex or unstable cases appropriately
