Labor and Delivery
Our Labor and Delivery unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.
Patient Population: Level III Maternal and Neonatal Designation
Number of Beds: 10 Labor and Delivery Suites, 4 obstetrical emergency beds, 2 operating rooms, 2 PACU beds, 5 high risk antepartum beds.

Job Summary
Registered Nurse Charge oversees patient care, follows nursing regulations, and fulfills the organization's priorities. This enhances responsibility to promote the mission. The main tasks involve evaluating patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, creating personalized care plans, and assessing patient responses. T his is considered a leadership position and a liaison between clinical staff and Management.
Essential Functions of the Role
- You will utilize nursing judgment and reasoning to make precise health assessments, ensuring these assessments align with standard practices.
- You will check nursing procedures. Use research to make changes.
- You will demonstrate caring practices by addressing both emotional and physical discomfort, aiming to foster healing and prevent excess distress.
Key Success Factors
- Familiarity with nursing and patient care protocols and practices.
- Proven communication skills both in speech and writing.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with smart critical thinking skills.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience with 2 years of Relief or Dedicated Charge RN experience
- Registered Nurse License.
- You must have Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.
