Nurse Flow Manager – Perianesthesia (PACU)

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Flow Manager to oversee patient flow within our fast-paced Perianesthesia (PACU) department. In this leadership role, you'll work alongside nursing leadership, anesthesia providers, surgeons, and hospital administration to ensure safe, efficient patient movement while maximizing operational excellence. What You'll Do • Coordinate and oversee patient flow throughout the PACU. • Partner with nursing leadership, anesthesia, surgeons, and hospital administration to optimize patient throughput. • Maintain a visible leadership presence, providing real-time support to staff and resolving operational challenges. • Monitor staffing needs and allocate resources efficiently while minimizing overtime. • Ensure accurate scheduling and workflow coordination through Epic. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational performance. • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on safety, quality, and exceptional patient care. • Support departmental goals through effective communication, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement. Qualifications Required • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license • Extensive knowledge of Perianesthesia/PACU operations and patient flow • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities Preferred • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) • Recent Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience within a PACU or Perianesthesia setting Why Join Brigham and Women's Hospital?
