Long Beach blends Southern California cool with a working-waterfront edge. The Belmont Shore shoreline and retro-Art-Deco downtown give the city its personality. Nurses relocating here get ocean breezes, a growing healthcare sector, and easy access to both L.A. and Orange County when the weekend calls for a change of scene.
