About this role
The Registered Nurse answers calls to collect clinical information relative to a transfer request and facilitates the transfer by matching the patient's clinical need to the facility with service and bed capacity capability. Responsibilities include providing status reviews for patients prior to bed assignment, performing initial review based on physician's order, analyzing clinical information, assuring financial integrity by assuring proper admission status, assessing patients to ensure right care at the right time, managing multiple phone lines, demonstrating knowledge of EMTALA rules, coordinating patient movement through care delivery process, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Requires 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital, RN licensed in the State of Florida or eligible compact state, and Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
