Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our travel healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse environments, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community clinics, delivering vital nursing services across different regions. The Travel LPN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care while demonstrating flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating patient conditions with attention to detail.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, wound care, tube feeding, and sterile techniques to ensure safety and compliance with infection control standards.
- Document patient information meticulously using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patients' needs in settings such as long-term care, hospice, or acute care units.
Experience
- Active RN License (State-specific)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS/PALS (as required by specialty)
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in relevant specialty
