Mandatory Qualifications for This Job

  • Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) License required by assignment start date.
  • Candidates without a Hawaii license must apply for licensure immediately upon offer acceptance.
  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Long Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation, Hospital, or Acute Care setting.
  • Current BLS/BCLS Certification required.
  • Experience with patient assessments, medication administration, and nursing documentation.
  • Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
  • Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements and attend Employee Health appointment prior to assignment start.

*Roles and Responsibilities*

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing nursing evaluations.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes to physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and resident-centered care.
  • Perform Gastrostomy Tube (G-Tube) care and feeding management.
  • Provide Urinary Catheter insertion, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Administer Nebulizer and Respiratory Treatments as prescribed.
  • Manage and monitor Wound Vacuum (Wound Vac) therapy.
  • Provide CPAP care and respiratory support.
  • Perform Tracheostomy care and airway management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care while maintaining professionalism.
