Position Summary

The role of the Registered Nurse reports to Director of Nursing. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care for patients receiving infusion services.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system Prepare patient for various types procedures and/or examinations, as needed Review clinic orders and ensure all necessary information is obtained Continuously monitor patients for adverse reactions Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program Licensure and

Certifications

Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required. ACLS requiring within 3 months. Annual dysrhythmia, required.

Experience

Previous experience in nursing in a clinic or acute setting ,preferred. Previous experience in an infusion setting, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
