American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department contract requiring TNCC and ENPC certifications with no on-call obligations.
Details
13-week contract assignment in the Emergency Department with 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts
48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds
Staffed by charge nurse plus 11 RNs on day and night shifts, along with PCTs, a paramedic, and an LVN
Patient ratios of 1:4 ED, 1:5 behavioral health, and 1:3 cardiac/trauma
Utilizes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
Uses MEDITECH EMR
Rotating weekend requirement
No on-call requirements
Requirements
Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
Required
certifications
BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
CPI certification required for ER units (or approved alternative such as SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
MEDITECH experience preferred
Trauma experience preferred
Inpatient holding experience preferred
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)

Perform splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central line care, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens procedures, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation
Work alongside a collaborative team supported by PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs
Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
Best suited for multitaskers, team players, and self-starters
Facility has an active unit-based council and social committee
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
