Front Desk Chiropractic Assistant

Duties

• Verifies patient information; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares new patients for examination
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
• Schedules patients; verifying times with patients; preparing charts, verifying completion of new patient paperwork.
• Operated simple medical equipment to alleviate pain and symptoms in patients
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills and

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• High Attention to detail
• Professional and presentable
• GED required
• High Standard of verbal communication, creating a safe and effective environment, organization, scheduling, professionalism, customer focus, confidentiality, bedside manner, medical teamwork
• Previous medical experience required
• Min 1-2 years of front desk experience in medical offices
