The Clinic RN coordinates the patient care team in providing and documenting patient care in accordance with applicable standards of practice; provides clinical nursing support and ensures delivery of quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting; coordinates clinic schedules; assesses, implements, coordinates, delegates and evaluates nursing care of patients; prioritizes patient care needs and provides nursing care accordingly; assists with or facilitates coordination of care, testing and procedures as ordered by physicians; performs specialized nursing care procedures as outlined in department/unit-specific competency profiles; provides leadership to, and development of, patient care team; identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes; participates in performance improvement activities; participates in medical and nursing research activities.
